It was on this day 15 years ago that I spent the longest day of my life at work. That work day was interminable. Worse was the two hour wait between the end of the work day and the showtime of the viewing to which I purchased tickets a week prior. All was still in front of us at that point and the Prequel Trilogy was still full of potential. On May 19th, 1999, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace opened in theaters and the rest is awkward CGI history.

Amid reports that Disney and Lucasfilm were struggling with crafting a mass audience acceptable Boba Fett movie (booooo!), The Inquisitor reports that Metalocalypse director John Schnepp confirmed that the Boba Fett movie is not only going forward, but that it has been written by Lawrence Kasdan and is already in pre-production.
The English language Adu Dhabi news site The National has reported some high level details about the set construction for Episode VII as well as some of the goings on around the desert shoot location. There may be some very minor spoiler information contained, but nothing more than would probably be revealed in the first full trailer. Things are starting to sound Star Warsy.
